From DIY crafts that can be made with household items, or last minute accessories to keep the little ones learning over the holiday season! We've got all the best Christmas craft ideas, to keep you all busy.

6 Easy Christmas Crafts For Kids For The Holidays

Fun Christmas Crafts for kids are a great way to keep them occupied over the school holidays and get them into the Christmas spirit!

These easy Christmas crafts are ideal for little ones wanting to make their own Christmas gifts for family members, friends, or even Santa Claus!

DIY Ornaments

Salt dough Christmas ornaments are a fun and simple craft (if you have all the supplies), that can be used for jazzing up the Christmas tree, decorations for the

Christmas table, or simply for displaying around the home.

Wholefully recommend using these 3 simple ingredients:

  • All-purpose flour
  • Table salt
  • Warm water

With extra craft paint, or even felt tip markers and glitter you'll have the perfect Christmas decoration. Easy peasy!

Snowman Crafts

Another simple and easy Christmas crafts for kids are Snowman art toys made from leftover toilet roll tubes! There's nothing better than a cute snowman

decoration, and using up all the empty cardboard toilet rolls.

These easy Christmas Snowmen can be created with:

  • Empty cardboard rolls
  • White, black and orange paint (or colouring pens)
  • A strip of recycled paper & colourful pom poms for earmuffs!

Festive Garlands

Festive garlands are another fun Christmas craft for the little ones to get their hands dug into!

Using scrap pieces of coloured paper or card, we suggest cutting Christmas tree shapes and carefully gluing or cello taping along a line of brown twine or left over pieces of string from around the house!

A great alternative to using paper is paper plates! Cut up into triangles to make Christmas tree shapes, paint green, and use excess tinsel for added decoration and sparkle.

Up-Cycle Cardboard Boxes

All kids love a cardboard box! We have recently launched some products from the MakeDo brand, who can help bring your children's cardboard box imaginations to life!

The MakeDo kits are great to have in the house, and include a range of different tools and screws that can be used to hold multiple layers of cardboard together to create cars, castles, or anything you can possibly think of! Even better, the tools and screws provided can be used over and over again.

Make sure to not throw away all your cardboard rubbish this festive season and let the little ones get creative.

Homemade Xmas Cards

Still stuck on Christmas crafts for kids that they actually want to do? Homemade Christmas cards are the answer! Whether they are for friends or family

members, they always go down a treat.

A classic, but let's not forget how special homemade cards are especially when opening on Christmas morning!

To add extra sparkle to the DIY Christmas cards you could encourage the kids to get creative with some cotton balls for snowmen, pipe cleaners to make a star, or popsicle sticks to create a nativity scene.

Funky Christmas Presents

Spicing up your already wrapped festive gifts is definitely not on the top of any

parents' Christmas crafts wish list. But, it's definitely the perfect Christmas craft for the kids, so why not let them add their own special touch to some of your wrapped gifts before adding them under the tree?

We suggest cutting up pieces of coloured craft paper or card and creating little Santa or snowman characters on some of your rectangular presents!

We can't guarantee they'll be picture perfect, but it's the taking part that counts.
